A sandwich maker is a small appliance that cooks up hot sandwiches such as grilled cheese, Panini, or whatever you like. They are easier to use than using a typical frying pan and they produce better results. Should you get a sandwich maker and how will it benefit you?
First of all, if you never make hot sandwiches and you don't really like them much, there is no reason to waste your money or your kitchen space. On the other hand, if other people in your home will love it, it will be a great decision to purchase a sandwich maker. There's no reason to leave anyone in your home out.
What can this appliance really do for you? Even if you make grilled cheese once in a blue moon and rarely eat anything hot in sandwich form doesn't mean you won't love this contraption. You can turn virtually any sandwich into a toasted treat. Throw in your grilled cheese, turkey, ham, pastrami, tuna, peanut butter and jelly, and other typical sandwiches and see how you love the flavor.
Why is a press better than a pan? It's better because it will evenly cook your sandwich, it will press it down and cook it on both sides without having to flip it, and you can even get grill marks without a grill. You have probably eaten or at least seen a Panini that looked toasted and delicious with grill marks on either side. You don’t need to be a restaurant chef to get this, you can simply use a sandwich maker.
Another positive to this appliance is that you can use them for more than just sandwiches. You can grill just about anything you can grill on your regular grill, probably even more. You don't have to worry about anything going through the cracks. Some even come packaged as waffle makers, too. They aren't expensive which means you can try it out and see how much you love it!
